Types of Fabrics

There are many types of fabrics, which can be divided into several major categories based on their raw materials, manufacturing processes, and uses:

Natural fiber fabrics:
Cotton: Good moisture absorption, soft and comfortable, strong breathability, making it an ideal material for summer clothing and bedding.
Wool: Excellent warmth retention, but may not be suitable for sensitive skin, commonly used for winter clothing and blankets.
Silk: Strong luster, smooth to the touch, but delicate and requires special care, suitable for making clothing and home decorations.
Linen: Cool and durable, but may feel rough, commonly used for summer clothing and curtains.
Real silk: Soft, but requires special care, commonly used for making clothing and accessories.
Synthetic fiber fabrics:
Polyester: Durable, quick-drying, and wrinkle-resistant, but has poor breathability, commonly used for sportswear and everyday clothing.
Nylon: High strength, durable, and good elasticity, commonly used for sports fabrics and outdoor clothing.
Nylon (spandex): Has good elasticity and stretchability, commonly used for making tight-fitting clothing and swimsuits.
Polypropylene (polypropylene): Lightweight, good moisture absorption, and water-resistant, commonly used for making waterproof fabrics and packaging materials.
Blended fabrics: Mixing two or more fibers, such as cotton-linen blend, polyester-cotton blend, etc., combining the characteristics of both to meet different wearing and decorative needs.
Special material fabrics:
Leather: Durable and textured, used for making shoes, bags, and clothing.
Synthetic leather: Similar to leather but cheaper and more environmentally friendly, commonly used for making shoes and bags.
Plastic cloth: Waterproof and durable, commonly used for raincoats, umbrellas, and other outdoor gear.
Non-woven fabric: Lightweight and breathable, mostly used for disposable products or packaging materials.
High-tech fabrics: Such as breathable membranes, mosquito-proof fabrics, and temperature-regulating fabrics, meeting the needs of modern life, commonly used in outdoor clothing, sports equipment, and smart home fields.
