The manufacturing process of fabrics.

2025-01-21

The manufacturing process of fabric mainly includes steps such as chemical fiber production, yarn production, weaving, dyeing and finishing, and packaging. Among these, weaving is a key link in fabric manufacturing. Depending on the weaving method, it can be divided into two main categories: woven fabric and knitted fabric.

Woven fabric: It is formed by two or more groups of yarns interlacing at right angles. The yarns that run vertically are called warp, while the yarns that run horizontally are called weft. Woven fabrics have characteristics of being solid, stable, and relatively low shrinkage, and are often used to make formal clothing such as shirts and suits.
Knitted fabric: It is formed by a structure of yarns creating loops, where new loops pass through previous loops, and this process continues to form knitted fabric. Knitted fabrics have characteristics of being soft, breathable, and elastic, and are commonly used to make casual clothing such as T-shirts and sportswear.
